Keermont Vineyards is a boutique wine estate set in the naturally-formed amphitheater between the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountain ranges.
Keermont aims to grow wines that reflect the natural wonders of this beautiful place.

Keermont Terrasse 2017

A polished light yellow gold colour, this wine has a complex bouquet of spicy citrus and stone fruit with hints of orange blossom, hazelnut, crushed oyster shell and butterscotch. On entry, the wine has a soft full palate. Subtle fruit flavours of peach, litchi and apricot are complimented by hints of sweet spice and vanilla. There is good weight on the midpalate and a light texture. Crunchy apple acidity holds the wine together into a lingering, succulent finish.

Cultivar: 55% Chenin blanc, 21% Sauvignon Blanc, 14% Chardonnay, 5% Viognier, 3% Marsanne, 2% Rousanne

Keermont Merlot 2017

The Keermont Merlot 2017 has a deep royal red colour. Ripe red fruit and liqueur cherry aromas are complimented by dark chocolate, leather and mint notes. The palate is soft, but elegant and refreshing. The wine exudes flavours of ripe red fruit with undertones of cocoa, herbs and thatch. Tight chalky tannins and good natural acidity help to maintain a fresh elegance and a long, succulent dry finish.

Keermont Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Bright, ruby red colour. The nose is classical and dusty with a complex mix of savoury notes: crushed herbs, violets, dark chocolate, and some lovely bright red fruit. The palate is fine and elegant with a lovely subtle vibrancy. Savoury notes of tomato paste and tea leaf add character to the bright red strawberry and cherry flavours. Tight-knit tannin and a gentle natural acidity afford the wine a long succulent finish with lingering ripe fruit flavour.

Keermont Syrah 2014

The Keermont Syrah 2014 has a warm strawberry red colour. It has an enchanting bouquet of violets, dusty sandal wood and a hint of spicy red fruit. The palate is elegant and soft, and has a clean linear acidity. It has a strong floral character with spicy red fruit and hints of cherry sherbet. The tannins are dusty and dry and the wine has a long earthy herbal finish.

Estate Reserve 2014

Bright velvet red in the glass, this wine exudes complex aromas of ripe cherry, wild berries, and cloves. On the palate, the wine has a soft entry with an array of flavours: ripe red berries, crushed herbs and spice. There is a dense core which gives the wine good weight on the palate. A full chalky tannin structure comes to the fore affording the wine a long succulent finish with dark cherry notes.

Cultivar: 22% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, 12% Petit Verdot, 6% Malbec, 2% Syrah

Keermont Fleurfontein 2015

Pure gold in colour, the 2015 Fleurfontein has subtle complex aromas of dried apricot and citrus rind with hints of vanilla. The palate is rich and full, but is defined by a central core of fresh acidity. This balances the sweetness and layers of fresh fruit and lees allowing the wine to finish neatly with a lingering zing.

The Keermont Single Vineyard Series was created to high light the superb quality and individual character of the wines produced from certain vineyard parcels on the farm. These parcels have been registered as Single Vineyards with the South African Wine Industry Information & Systems NPC (SAWIS) and wines labelled as such may not contain wine made from any other vineyard. The production of each wine is therefore very limited. Keermont does not bottle these wines every year.

Keermont Riverside Chenin Blanc 2017

A polished light yellow gold colour, this wine has a bouquet of citrus blossom with hazelnut, lemon grass and spring flowers. The entry on the palate is tight and focussed with ripe peach and lime flavours and a hint of marzipan. Lovely zippy acidity allows for a long clean textured finish

Keermont Steepside Syrah 2015

This is an intense wine with a bright strawberry red colour. Spicy, floral aromas are complimented by hints of cinnamon, ripe strawberries and black current. The palate is full and broad with ripe spicy fruit. The tight structure gives the wine a succulent dry finish with lingering flavours of vibrant and savoury red fruit.

Keermont Topside Syrah 2015

Dark plummy red in colour, this wine has a beautiful bouquet of black fruit with hints of violets, stems and white pepper. The palate is clean and elegant with a tight acidity and spicy fruit flavours with floral notes. The tight chalky tannin structure gives the wine a succulent dry finish with lingering flavours of red fruit, anise, fennel and a mineral saltiness.

Keermont Pondok Rug Cabernet Franc 2015

This wine has a pink purple hue. Typical herbal aromas are complimented by strawberries and red candy. The palate is intense with bright red fruit flavours complimented by hints of sherbet, red peppers and black currant. The tannin structure is tight and grippy and a strong central acid core gives the wine a long powerful dry finish.

The Companion Range is a result of a handful of barrels that were left over after the regular Keermont wines where made up. The components are in no way inferior to the components of the Keermont range, there were simply more barrels of them than required. Interestingly, the combinations result in very complete, balanced and delicious wines.
