Eenzaamheid, one of the oldest farms in South Africa, once owned by Adam Tas, has for the past 200 years been in the hands of seven generations of Brier-Louw farmers. Winemaker Janno Briers-Louw has coaxed the Agter-Paarl estate into producing eloquent, evocative wines. Aside from an award-winning Chenin, Shiraz, Pinotage and Mourvédre, Janno is also at the forefront of the Cinsaut revolution in South Africa.
The grapes for the Chenin Blanc were picked by hand from a 31-year old, low-yielding parcel of dryland bushvines. Attractive yellow fruit, green apple and minerally profile and richness, balanced by a crisp acidity. Our Chenin Blanc is known for its exceptional ageing potential.
